When hiring a vehicle with Alamo the main named driver on the rental is responsible for paying any parking, toll and traffic violations and associated administrative fees.
Where a parking, toll or traffic violation has occurred, we will send you a letter with full details about the incident, including the date, location and any related charges and fees.
How do you know that I am responsible?
Where a parking, toll or traffic violation has occurred, a notice will be sent to us from the local highway or toll road authority. The information they share is based on the date, time and vehicle registration and we check this information against when the vehicle was rented.
If you believe that this information is incorrect, please complete our Appeal-Form.
Why am I being charged now after my rental period has ended?
We depend on government and toll agencies for all information related to tolls and other violations. In most cases, that takes one to four weeks - or longer in some circumstances.
Our goal is to notify you so that you are alerted as soon as possible. Under the terms and conditions in your rental agreement, you are responsible for all costs, fines, violations and tolls - as well as an administrative fee we charge for processing and billing.
